Bones Season 12 will run for 12 episodes, with the finale reportedly covering a 24-hour timeline. The penultimate episode will allegedly show the six protagonists in a different light and will also wrap up Zack’s story arc. There is no word yet on what happens in episode 12, although there are hints that the main event will conclude in the lab.

Bones Season 12 is set to premiere on Jan. 3, 2017, Tuesday. The show’s final season will commence with the episode The Hope in the Horror and will wrap up with The End in the End. The premiere and finale are directed by stars Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz respectively.
