Linda Reagan’s brother will be in trouble in the upcoming Blue Bloods season 7 episode 16. Consequently, Danny Reagan will find himself caught between family and duty once again.
Entourage star Kevin Dillon will appear in episode 16 as Linda’s brother Jimmy. He will ask for Danny’s (Donnie Wahlberg) protection as some members of a mob are hunting him. This puts Danny in another compromising position.
Will Danny help his wife’s brother? If not, will it strain their relationship?
This is not the first time Danny or any of the Reagan family members found themselves in a similar spot. Some of them are police officers while Erin (Bridget Moynahan) is the Assistant District Attorney.
Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) will face another PR nightmare when a man shows up in the department with his lawyer. The man was wrongfully arrested by the police and they are demanding the New York PD to release the police officers’ disciplinary records in public.
Nicky (Sami Gayle), on the other hand, will accompany Jamie (Will Estes) on a ride-along. At the end, the Reagan family will have their traditional dinner in Blue Bloods season 7 episode 16.
Blue Bloods’ Milestone
Blue Bloods‘ Reagan family has been sharing their life with viewers across the country for seven years. The show is set to celebrate its 150th episode next month.
Selleck revealed that since the premiere of the show in 2010, he already knew that Blue Bloods would be a special series and it will last for years. Selleck told CBS:
“Anytime you do a show where the characters are as clearly drawn and as interesting and as flawed as our characters, I think the show has potential. I always kind of felt if we build this, they will come.”
The actor has been known as the Reagan family patriarch and the strong and level-headed NYPD police commissioner in the show. This is not the first 150-episode TV milestone for Selleck. His Magnum, P.I. series had 163 episodes.
It was earlier rumored that Selleck might be leaving the show. The actor took some time before he signed his new contract for Blue Bloods. Selleck signed a new deal for the show on the same day as the production of season 7 began.
Meanwhile, Wahlberg credited the show’s success on the characters’ authentic portrayal. “When I see a police officer in the street, they’ll say ‘good job’,” said Wahlberg.
Blue Bloods season 7 episode 16 airs on Friday, February 17 at 10 p.m. in CBS. The 150th episode will be on March 31.
