Those who grew up watching Kyle XY might find the new Freeform show exciting. Beyond season 1 may have some similarities with Kyle and his abilities, but the new series got something more to offer.
The television network introduced the show in small screens last Monday, January 2 at 9 pm. The series stars Burkely Duffield as the protagonist, Romy Rosemont, and Michael McGrady.
But aside from that, Freeform will make all the episodes of Beyond season 1 available for digital streaming. The show announced the exciting news on Twitter; stating that viewers can watch the show via Freeform TV app, On-demand, and Hulu.
Actor shares details of his character on Beyond season 1
More than this good news, Duffield also shared some exciting hints about his character, Holden Matthews. The Canadian young actor revealed the details during his interview with Entertainment Weekly.
To have an idea about the main role, Matthews was a young boy who falls into the coma. Through unexplained events, the boy wakes up after 12 years. The now-adult will have to face the challenge of being a young man.
“He is a man with a trapped adolescent boy inside of him, learning what it means to be alive in this new world,” Duffield said. He said that the character will reintegrate with his family and will find out the way he grew up while being in a coma.
But more than that, Beyond season 1 will also feature his new ability. The story of Matthews also includes having a telepathically power that can manipulate the world around him with energy and matter.
“He just wants to find a way to fit back into whatever life he’s being able to salvage from his past,” he said. “He’s definitely trying to figure it out. We’re not quite sure… how he does it or what he’s capable of, but that is definitely something that’s explored throughout the season.”
Those who want to catch Beyond season 1 have the freedom to watch via television or via digital platforms. There will be more updates regarding Freeform’s new show so make sure to check Gosh TV regularly.
