The new teaser for Better Call Saul Season 3 confirms the return of a very familiar character. Those who still miss Walter White and the rest of Breaking Bad cast might go wild after watching the preview.
ABC released the funny teaser for the Los Pollos Hermanos restaurant which is owned by Gustavo or Gus Fring.
In Breaking Bad, Saul Goodman introduces Mr. Fring, the drug tycoon of Albuquerque to Mr. White (codename: Heisenberg) in order for his meth business to survive. The mysterious traits of Gus Fring have been one of the highlights of the character.
Gus Fring to Appear in Season 3
Fans started speculating about his return to Better Call Saul Season 3 since the hint in season 2. Indeed, actor Giancarlo Esposito assured the fans via Twitter that it is really happening.
“I’m back!! What you’ve been waiting for, the rise of Gus is coming,” he wrote in the post. The Los Pollos Hermanos commercial already gained more than 260k views as of writing.
Prior to the video, actor Bob Odenkirk, who plays the quirky lawyer Saul Goodman stated that he would love to have Fring into the standalone series.
“The writers always do clever things, there’s little clues all over the show, visual clues, and one of the things they’ve done, and somebody worked out the puzzle — the first letter of each episode of last season spelled out a sentence, ‘Fring’s back,'” he told Uproxx.
“So, I guess, I don’t know. I really, really truly don’t know what’s going to happen in the show, that maybe we’ll see Giancarlo Esposito back in that great role again.”
With the release of the new teaser and Esposito’s confirmation, fans will most likely dig into Better Call Saul season 3 once it is out on small screens.
So far, Yahoo! News noted that the Breaking Bad characters who also appeared in Better Call Saul episodes are: Jimmy McGill, Mike Ehrmantraut, Tuco Salamanca, Hector “Tío” Salamanca, “the Cousins,” and Domingo “Krazy-8” Molina.
