Bates Motel season 5 is coming up! Here are what we complied so far! The Psycho prequel will be bidding its goodbye after five seasons at A&E.
According to Bates Motel season 5 showrunner Kerry Ehrin, the season will be the “funniest.” It “is, in a way, the funniest” season yet, “[with] the most dark comedy,” she told Yahoo TV. “I would say it still somehow manages to be weirdly life affirming.”
Rihanna Back in Bates Motel Season 5
Pop star Rihanna will return for her role as Marion Crane in the hit series, TV Line said in a report. Rihanna’s new role as the iconic Marion Crane has made famous by Janet Leighin the Psycho film.
Kerry Ehrin described the singer as “sweet and hardworking person” in Bates Motel season 5. She said the cast and the team are thrilled to welcome her back in the show.
“The episodes that she’s in were very much designed to be like a collision between Psycho and Bates Motel,” she said. “Really, it’s the first and only time we’ve ever truly stepped into Psycho.”
Kerry Ehrin described Bates Motel season 5 as a series which underscored so much on family element. A thing that is for her, “very real and grounded.
For the coming season, the showrunner hinted about the return of Chick, played by Ryan Hurst, as well as Caleb (Kenny Johnson). Dylan (Max Thieriot) and Emma (Olivia Cooke) too are said to have tried to move away.
Emotional Ending for Bates Motel Season 5?

For Bates Motel season 5 finale, Ehrin guaranteed something. She revealed that fans will have to bring in their tissues for an emotional ending.
She said, “it’s going to be cathartic as s**t.”
The series was initially announced to be premiered in mid-March but the release date was moved a few weeks earlier. Bates Motel season 5 will be aired on February 20 at A&E.
