Fans who can’t get enough of the Avengers will be pleased to know that more is coming for the franchise. Recent reports suggest an Avengers TV series is in the works. Furthermore, a teaser emerged for the upcoming film Avengers Infinity War.
Screen Rant reports that the Infinity War tease comes from the Russo brothers themselves. Anthony and Joe Russo are at the helm of the upcoming third Avengers film.
While the movie is engulfed in secrecy, the directors offer little clues from the ongoing production. This time, one of these clues make it to the Russo brothers’ Twitter account. The photo does not give away much as it only shows a bunch of circles against an illuminated background.
Since the photo does not make any sense at first glance, followers of the Twitter account were quick to offer their guesses. Most of the followers agreed that it could be something related to Thanos. Perhaps, the image shows a part of Thanos’ shelf or even the Infinity Gauntlet itself.
Meanwhile, others had different ideas. One Twitter user said it could be the floor grate on Starlord’s (Chris Pratt) ship in Guardians of the Galaxy. Another one said quipped it was a low-budget version of the Iron Man suit.
Whatever the photo’s subject is, it appears the Russo brothers do not plan on telling anytime soon. After all, a tease is meant to start conversation among fans without revealing anything.
Aside from Avengers Infinity War, Avengers Anime Planned
Fans who are becoming impatient for Infinity War may welcome another Avengers content as a distraction. According to Anime News Network, Marvel plans on making a TV series titled Marvel Future Avengers.
As opposed to the more mature audience of The Avengers movies, the anime series will target young male audiences. The source describes the upcoming series as follows:
“The anime will follow Makoto, a young boy who gains superpowers due to an evil gene manipulation experiment. Makoto and other youths join the Avengers as apprentices named ‘Future Avengers.’ The anime will show Makoto and others as they train, fight villains and grow, under Avengers members Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, and Wasp.”
It is interesting to note that the lineup differs from that of the movies. There is no mention of Black Widow or Hawkeye in the series. Also, Wasp becomes part of the lineup though the character did not make an official appearance in the movies yet.
No release date exists yet for the planned Avengers anime. However, the first Avengers Infinity War release date happens on April 25, 2018.
