Ever since the official renewal for American Horror Story season 7 and its two more seasons, fans started to anticipate that showrunners might reveal the storyline for even one of the renewed seasons. However, the production team revealed that details about the upcoming season remain “shrouded in super secrecy.”
Fans are dying to know the slightest hint to season 7. Though showrunners already insisted that no one will know about the next part of the FX series, here are the things we gathered so far.
Possible Themes, Storyline That American Horror Story Season 7 Might Explore
Hypable reported that season 7 and beyond could explore stories about ghosts, particularly about children. The writer noted that Hotel made the kids as misunderstood human beings. They became the villain of the season and Roanoke‘s theme made Priscilla and Flora as the focus of the story.
From this the source asks, “what if, alternatively, the children were the victims?” What if, there is something about them that is waiting to be explored? Could season 7 reveal what’s hidden behind their stories?
Monsters Are Gone: Shipwreck
Even before speculations about the theme and storyline for the seventh season started, one particular plot has since grabbed the attention of the AHS fans — the ocean. The show’s official Instagram account posted a teaser video. The caption said “Sweet dreams” and “Monsters are all gone.”
From this, Hypable raised the possibility that the show could explore another storyline — Shipwreck. The series could touch on the “natural forces.”
The site also noted that the show could take on a survival of the fittest theme. “Carnivorous primates, poisonous plants, flesh-eating bugs, and acid rain” could be one of the terrors that they could experience.
Ryan Murphy Talks Season 7 Theme Mystery
John Landgraf’s interview reported by E! News reiterated why season 7 is shrouded in secrecy. The FX Boss has yet to know what is in store for the seventh part of the show.
“Ryan [Murphy] has yet another really innovative idea for how to do something fresh and different with the franchise that audiences haven’t seen before, there’s a marketing hook around that. We know explicitly what the next season is about.”
On the other hand, Ryan Murphy teases that season 7 will be set in the modern day. When asked about the fake teasers, he stayed mum. He admitted that there are only three persons who know something.
“We haven’t decided how to do that. There’s only three people in the world who know what it is, which is John Landgraf, Dana Walden, and Sarah Paulson, so I don’t know.
