Riverdale fans have a long wait ahead of them as the next episode won’t come out until March 30. Hence, for those looking for some good news, Riverdale season 2 details could come out in WonderCon 2017.
Superherohype reports that Warner Bros. Television announced their WonderCon 2017 panels for this year’s event. Riverdale presents their panel on March 31, the first day from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. The occasion runs until April 2.
Although the description does not outright say that they will reveal season 2 details, some could be taken as clues for it. The Riverdale panel is described as follows:
“Unlock the mystery of Riverdale and leave your innocence behind. Join stars KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Ashleigh Murray, Luke Perry, Mädchen Amick and Marisol Nichols, along with executive producers Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Sarah Schechter and Jon Goldwater as they dive into the secrets that continue to loom over what may look like a quiet, sleepy town. While new details of Jason Blossom’s death emerge, tension grows between the Riverdale High students, as Jughead’s connection to the Southside Serpents is revealed.”
Based on the description, it may seem that the cast and EPs will tread carefully in terms of the topic that they will tackle. Their panel presents on March 31 which by then, five more episodes of Riverdale still have to air. Still, bring in a fan who knows how to ask the right questions and spoilers are likely to drop.
Looking Ahead for Riverdale Season 2
A lot of mysteries have been resolved in Riverdale. However, there are still no concrete clues as to who killed Jason Blossom (Trevor Stines). Nevertheless, series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa assured fans in an interview that the murder will be resolved by the end of the season.
This means that season 2 opens with the fallout of knowing who the real killer is. An interesting clue on who might that be comes from Madelaine Petsch who plays Jason’s twin, Cheryl. The actress told Bustle:
“I kind of had a weird inclination that it was the person that it is, but I didn’t want to believe it. Because if it was, it would literally ruin Cheryl’s life. More than it already is ruined.”
Who could it be that by simply knowing, Cheryl’s life will be ruined? A quick guess points to her parents. After all, Jason did want to run away.
Nevertheless, any guess at this point could be wrong. More answers will come out once Riverdale resumes airing on March 30. Check back with GoshTV for more news on Riverdale season 2.
